Tiana Marrese

Tiana Marrese is a PhD candidate in Social Welfare at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Social Policy and Practice. The core of her work asks how and why communities engage in prosocial behaviors across space and time. Her research has been published in numerous journals including Nonprofit Policy Forum and Sociological Spectrum. In her most recent body of work, her dissertation, Marrese explores paid and unpaid labor in the nonprofit sector through various phenomena including wage differentials and gender identities. Preliminary findings speak to researchers and practitioners concerned with human capital capacities of the nonprofit sector.
